As a Laboratory Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing materials, inventory control, shipments, storage management, and office support. This role ensures the efficient handling, tracking, and documentation of materials in cleanroom environments, storage areas, and offices.
You will be at the forefront of bringing advanced healthcare solutions to market, making a tangible difference in people´s lives worldwide.
This position will be office-based in Bellaterra (3 days) and Barcelona (2 days).
Your profile
Main responsibilities:
• Ensure lab spaces comply to regulations and will facilitate the establishment of procedures, SOPs and WOW to ensure compliance. For example chemical safety, bio hazards, electrical etc.
• Ensure compliance protocols to comply with requirements and regulations.
• Collaborate with technical stakeholders and team leads to ensure needs are met.
• Tools management (maintenance and calibrations).
• Incoming inspection (+ incoming inspection reports) of materials.
• Non-conforming reports.
• Unbox received materials, perform incoming inspections, label materials, and update stock records.
• Request Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and send delivery notes to Odoo (or ERP system).
• Conduct stock reviews for tools and wafers, ensuring appropriate inventory levels in cleanrooms and storage areas.
• Place wafer orders if needed and request quotations for additional tools.
• Prepare and manage weekly shipments to providers, including wafer box packaging, FedEx label requests, and shipment tracking.
• Provide office management support, including coffee machine maintenance, fruit box orders, office supplies tracking, and replenishment.
• Conduct status reviews of newly purchased equipment, ensuring they are properly documented and accounted for.
• Perform weekly material stock reviews inside cleanrooms and labs. Label and log materials needed for next week’s production to ensure readiness.
• Identify expired materials, properly discard or relabel them as necessary.
Mandatory Qualifications and Soft skills:
• Technical degree or Bachelor Degree.
• English and Spanish (Full professional proficiency).
• Experience with inventory management.
• Experience in Equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Organized & Detail-Oriented – Ensures accurate tracking, labeling, and documentation of materials.
• Proactive & Problem-Solving – Identifies and resolves inventory shortages, shipment delays, and procurement issues efficiently.
• Process-Oriented – Follows structured workflows for inventory management and logistics operations.
• Multitasking & Adaptability – Balances office support, inventory control, and shipment management in a dynamic environment.
• Responsible and collaborative.
Nice to have:
• Experience with shipping and receiving and ERP systems.
