R&D Engineer (V&V)

Your mission
As a R&D Engineer (V&V) at INNERVIA you will design, specify, analyse and verify the system to ensure that its interface, performance, physical, functional, and other quality characteristics are balanced to meet the needs of the system stakeholders.  

You will have specific relevance evaluating the system requirements to create system verification testing plans and test cases, test execution, to show results applying statistical analysis and having a direct contribution to design improvements.  

Main Responsabilities:
  • Daily review, design, requirement definitions, and integration activities 
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, verification, and reports 
  • Create system verification test plans 
  • Create test cases/methods 
  • Support and execute system integration and system testing of prototypes 
  • Statistical analysis of the test results 
  • Understand DRM/DFT (Design for Reliability, Design for Manufacturing and Design for Test), including concept engineering, modelling, analysis, sensitivity, and stress analysis 
  • Contribute to high-level technical planning and supplier work package definition 
  • Define tooling & equipment needs for specific test execution 
  • Assess applicability of standards and norms 
  • Initiate preliminary hazard analysis and establish the risk management plan 
  • Support FMEA preparation on system level 
  • Work intensively with Quality, Regulatory, Clinical and Project Management on the formal product development processes and perform design and phase reviews 
  • Guide the development team in manufacturing process qualifications and validations 
  • Follow change request processes 
  • Generate intellectual property 
  • Familiar with agile processes, continuous development, continuous integration, and test automation. 
  • Continuous feedback and support on design improvement 

Your profile
  • Master of Science in a technical discipline, e.g., electrical, mechanical, chemical, biomedical or neuro-engineering, physics or neuroscience. 
  • >3 years´ experience in laboratory work 
  • >3 years´ experience working in regulated Medical Device environment. 
  • Experienced in Python or similar programming languages for test development and execution is a nice-to-have. 
  • A sparring partner to colleagues in other disciplines like microfabrication, software, electronics, or mechanics. 
  • A high-energy, self-motivated, and pro-active individual able to work in a diverse team in a start-up company. 
  • A flexible, service minded colleague with good analytical skills, reliable, pragmatic, and result oriented. 
  • Good communication and presentation skills 
  • Fluency in English required (company language). Spanish is a plus.
